Community Youth Work Groups
Hi everyone,
I'm David Cunningham, Community Education Worker at Inveralmond Community High School.
I'm delighted to let you know that signups are now open for our Community Youth Work groups starting week commencing 14th September 2026. These groups all take place outside school hours and are designed to help young people make friends, build confidence, learn new skills and feel more connected to their community.
Groups cost £1.00 weekly - all funds raised go straight back into the groups for trips, outings, and resources.
Connect2Invy (NEW)
For: P6, P7, S1 & S2
Starts: Thursday 17th September 2026
Thursdays: 5.00pm-7.00pm
Location: The Loft, Inveralmond Community High School
A brand new transition youth group supporting young people moving into secondary school, as well as S1 and S2 pupils who are still settling in. Expect games, creative activities, trips and plenty of opportunities to build friendships.
Glitter Cannons
A welcoming LGBTQ+ youth group for young people and allies.
Junior (11-16) Fridays, 5.00pm-7.00pm
Senior (16-25) Fridays, 6.30pm-8.30pm
Location: 101 Youth Project, Livingston Shopping Centre
Sessions include arts, crafts, drama, music, community projects, guest speakers and lots of fun social activities.
Motiv8 Juniors
For: Young people aged 11-15 who identify as neurodiverse (a formal diagnosis is not required).
Wednesdays: 6.30pm-8.30pm
Location: 101 Youth Project, Livingston Shopping Centre
A supportive group where young people can develop friendships, confidence and independence in a relaxed and understanding environment.
Young Volunteers (16+)
If your young person is aged 16 or over and is interested in volunteering, gaining experience and developing leadership skills, we'd love to hear from them.
Cost: All groups cost £1 per session, with all money going directly back into activities, resources, and outings for the young people.
