We are delighted to share the news of our school's involvement in the regeneration of Ladywell Woods. As part of this exciting partnership, a group of our pupils had the opportunity to participate in a tree planting activity, contributing to the revitalisation of Ladywell Woods.

The tree planting event was expertly guided by Hannah Patterson and Hannah Drummond, two passionate individuals from the Woodland Trust. They led our students through the process, ensuring they grasped the significance of native tree species and their role in sustaining a healthy ecosystem within these woods.

The pupils selected and planted saplings of elder (33), oak (15), holly (28), and rowan (25), ensuring they were positioned correctly for optimal growth. Planting a total of 154 trees!

We are immensely proud of our pupils for their dedication and commitment to this project. Their involvement in the tree planting initiative not only strengthens our school's commitment to environmental sustainability but also instills a sense of ownership towards their local community and woodlands.

As our saplings mature, they will serve as a lasting testament to our pupils contributions. We encourage our families to join us in revisiting Ladywell Woods in the years to come, witnessing the thriving trees that our pupils had a hand in nurturing.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the Woodland Trust for their invaluable guidance and support in making this tree planting initiative a resounding success.
