ICHS

Good Afternoon All,

We hope you are doing well and have a nice weekend planned.

Couple of things to update you on:

S2 into S3 Pathways
S2 into S3 pathways process was shared earlier this week, including information on reports and parents night. To access the information again, please click here: S2 Pathways & Reports (opens new window)

S4/5/6 Prelims and Tracking
We are in the process of finalising the prelim timetable and tracking information. We appreciate that everyone is keen to know this information asap and we will have this with you shortly. The information will be shared via text message, app and in classes.

Litter
We would really appreciate your help, by talking with your young person, about the litter that is appearing around the local community. This is also a particular issue on the route to the school from Greggs and Pizza Hut. The school and local community would be really grateful if you could speak with your young person about keeping their litter or old masks in their pocket or bag until they arrive at a bin, rather than drop it on the ground. We will also be reinforcing this message during tutor time next week.

We know it isn't every pupil, but if we all work together on this we can improve the local environment for everyone.

SQA - A Short Survey
SQA is currently carrying out research into people's perceptions of educational assessment standards in light of the disruption due to COVID-19. It is important for them to develop a deeper understanding of the views of a range of individuals, including learners, parents, employers, and practitioners.

They anticipate that the key findings of this research will be published in the early part of 2022.

We are a team of researchers from the Universities of Oxford and Glasgow who have been asked by the SQA to carry out this research with learners, practitioners, employers, and parents, and they are very keen to get as many responses as possible.

They have therefore asked if Parents, Carers and young people in our school would be willing to complete the questionnaire, which can be accessed at: SQA Educational Assessment Standards Survey (opens new window)

The survey will be open until Friday 10th December.
