A team of 4 pupils, Ross, Connor, Aimee and Dielle, were selected to represent ICHS in the final of the Mitsubishi 'Pump it Up' Challenge 2019, held at Howden Park Centre.
Their task was to come up with a novel use of a heat pump and pitch their idea to a panel of judges.
The team presented their design called the 'Frost Fighter,' and competed against 10 other teams from secondary schools from across West Lothian.
Their idea was to use a heat pump to heat up airport runways, making them safer to use during snow and icy weather.
The team from ICHS were presented with the prize of Overall Winners of the 'Pump it Up' Challenge 2019.
