The Geography department in Inveralmond is staffed by three specialist teachers.

All members of the faculty actively contribute towards curriculum development and wider achievement across the school.

The department pride themselves on their collaboration across the wider Social Subjects faculty and the wider school such as their work delivering Environmental Science and Community Action in Housing.

The department occupies an area on the first floor of the school and consists of three spacious classrooms and access to a modern computer suite, and sets of netbooks and iPads to enhance digital literacy among learners.

The department is committed to utilising a wide range of resources and the wider community to provide fieldwork opportunities.

The Geography department provides students with a varied and engaging range of subjects that both challenge and stimulate, they offer a varied selection of subjects at appropriate levels for students.

Geography is delivered from National 3 up to Advanced Higher illustrating the progression on offer.

In S3 Environmental Science is offered as part of STEM and in the senior phase a skills for work course of Community Action in Housing is delivered providing the opportunity for possible apprenticeships in the housing sector.
