Following the development of a partnership with International Timber in Grangemouth, Inveralmond Community High School has recently received over £500 worth of timber as a good-will gesture from the business to support the school Design & Technology department.

The materials will be used across a range of practical projects that learners produce throughout the school year and will allow the department to provide greater choice within the projects that learners experience.

The department was further supported by local logistics firm React Transport who were able to assist with the movement of the timber from Grangemouth to the school.

David Dodds, PTC Technologies, noted that "The support from both International Timber and React Transport has been fantastic and has enabled us to offer learners with greater choice across our curriculum. In addition to this we will be able to utilise departmental funds that we would have used for purchasing timber for the forthcoming academic session for additional materials and resources to enhance the learning experience"

The department looks forward to developing sustainable partnerships with both businesses over the coming months and years.
