As a Rights Respecting Schools, we highly value participation and the views of our young people. One of the relevant articles of the Convention that addresses the principle of participation is Article 12, the right to be heard. Article 12 says that every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously.

The structure of the ICHS Pupil Parliament will include 3 main steering groups - Rights Respecting School, LGBT+ and Wellbeing.

There will also be opportunities to become a learner voice representative for your tutor group and exciting pupil ambassador roles are also available, including ambassadors of Literacy, STEM, Music and PE. Representatives from each group will form the ICHS Pupil Parliament, which will take place every 6 weeks. Pupils will have the opportunity to share their ideas with Mrs Young and Mrss Charters on how we can improve our school.
